This thread is a brilliant and illuminating read on one of the hobbies true Jewels, T seladonia alias Brazilian Jewel.
It's unfortunate that they cost so much $$$ and are so delicate a species with a short life span as well.

What is your opinion on how Urban Tarantulas keeps them? At 2:49

I see you have tons of sphagnum in the enclosure, do you keep this wet while keeping the substrate mostly dry?

No, if I keep it wet then it defeats the purpose of keeping the substrate dry.

It's only there so that the seladonia has an abundance of materials to create and/or extend its trapdoor.

Sorry to barge in this conversation, I got super excited when I read about your project to reproduce them! Do you think you'll have more slings?

Unfortunately not. I've said it before, I absolutely hate this species. They're beautiful but not worth it, in my honest opinion.

I don't plan on working with this species or genera again.

Can I ask why you hate working with them? My guess ia because they're difficult to keep?

No, if you know what you're doing they're fairly easy to keep.

What I don't like about them is the stress you go through "will it build a trapdoor? Why isn't it making a trapdoor?"

Even if you do everything right, slings can be extremely fragile. With the price, stress you go through, fragility and not to mention you don't actually see them most of the time. It's not worth it for me.

To add, I didn't actually want them in the first place. I just wanted to see what the buzz was about them being hard to keep. Never realized that I would do good with them to the point of breeding them successfully.

Oh wow! Interesting! And encouraging!! =D
Well maybe not the part that you never see them. I would still like to try growing a few. I had an idea to hopefully help with humidity, but after reading this thread, I wonder if it would supply enough air flow. I got an enclosure a while back ago, which seems to have good airflow, and the interesting part of this enclosure is that you can "flood" the bottom compartment to offer higher humidity. The downside is that to allow that humidity, you can't really add substrate. So I had been thinking I could try to add their little container in the poramorart enclosure. That way I could keep it high humidity, and they would have their dry substrate. Not sure about the airflow though. Was thinking about adding a tiny water dish too (like a tattoo ink container which is tiny). What do you think?

Was able to get one from a petshop in Châteauguay Qc but reading this really made me realize they had no idea how to care for them and sent me home with an enclosure that was not appropriate... The substrate was wet... It died from a bad molt like 4 days in. It had made a small cocoon to molt and they switched it enclosures... I was so sad, and now honestly frustrated how a shop that prides themselves from being the only tarantula cribs distributor in the area, knew so little about tiny slings they were selling... I paid extra for them making me a small setup for the sling and they did the opposite of everything you stated here.....
Would like to try again with proper indications this time around.

I don't know where you got the idea to give them high humidity though, let alone constant high humidity.

I know exactly who you're talking about. They killed one of my T. seladonia slings too, that was supposed to be a freebie from an order I made.

Oh? Well alot of people online say that they need humidity at about 70%. But then also dry substrate. And that apparently they don't like to be sprayed water on them. So I was trying to figure out how I could manage that. But you're saying it's really not necessary? Here out house is usually at about 40% humidity which I thought wasn't enough for T. Seladonia 🙈

People who put exact humidity to follow on how to care for tarantulas have no business teaching people how to care for them. Very stupid.

I'll just refer you to read this thread or to read it again. Everything that needs to be said is already here.
