Thank you. I keep many Cyriocosmus species so I've come to accept the fact that they won't be here for more than a few years, but this one was only 1,5. Raised from a microscopic speck of dirt.I’m so sorry to hear this. Heart wrenching to lose one you’ve raised from a wee one and expected to have for a long time to come. My sincere condolences.
I checked on her 10 minutes ago and she was actually looking slightly better, walking around almost like normal with a mealworm in her mouth. I don't want to get my hopes up but I won't do anything drastic either. If I'm extremely lucky the sucking stomach was torn off the moult and she was just being extra and stubborn when I tried to get some water into her. We'll just have to wait and see.
Edit: So it's been almost 10 hours since my last post and I just checked on her one last time before bed. She's still up, standing on her tippy toes while grooming herself. The worm is gone (didn't want to disturb her so couldn't look for a bolus or uneaten remains) and she's showing no death curl tendencies as far as I could tell. Still not out of the woods but not actively dying either. Let's hope for the best.
