Wow. Talk about irresponsible...
I think you need a different pet. Or rather, no pets at all.
Nahh I like pets, spiders in particular. I've been keeping them as pets when I was like 7 yrs. old. This only happened once and as I've mentioned my first time with a OW specimen. I forgot to mention that I have a temporary container that I kept her in and the rest of my T's when I do cage maintenance and believe me I would never want her running around my room ever again not because I'm scared of her but my room mates might freak out and step on her :(

You said no pets at all, tsk that hurts so I would like you to know that I give my pets special attention and I always meet up with the requirements like any keeper would and I only handle them when I clean their cages. The thing there is that I think it will take me time to get used to her speed so, I'm thinking of backing out a little bit on OW species and get NW arboreals first then go back to OW

Okay, I was just concerned because it sounded like you weren't quite ready to handle an OW, especially since you intentionally scared someone with it ("I told them that she can jump 3 feet"). Just seemed a bit irresponsible to me. Anyways, I hope you have better luck in the future. ;)

i dropped a med crick in with my 1 1/2 inch A geniculata and it hit that dirty cricket so hard that it bounced off the sides of the vial 2 or 3 times and did a somersault before pinning it with fangs in the back of the neck... it happened so fast i didn't have time to laugh until it was over:D

Not really..
"Harry"
Sigh..
LOL at me! When I first read your post (quickly, I guess), I read it to mean your spider was actually named Facepalm.

Given some spiders I've known, I could understand it...

I was using a soda bottle cap for a water dish I'm my juvie B.boehmei tank and I could never keep water in the darn thing cause he would stick substrate in it so I started just misting the sides and left the cap in there. one day I come into the room to catch him rolling in all over his tank. it was so funny cause the cap was almost as big as he is.
Yesterday I picked up a Phormictopus sp."purple" so I go last night with a pen light to check on it and it chases the light every where I shine it.

Theres no harm in telling someone the T could jump 3 feet. The looks on their faces would be priceless xD

Eh, I prefer to put Ts in a better (and more realistic) light, rather than tell lies to make people more frightened of them. You don't need to say that Ts can jump 3 feet; just say that they can shoot their poo 3 feet. Funny and realistic at the same time. :)

Speaking of 3 feet poo, I built my 4" female A. metallica a pretty nice enclosure out of a tall plastic Sterilite container. Most of my enclosures have an Egyptian theme and this one is no different. It has a pretty silk Pothos plant, stone water dish and a 5" handpainted gold Nefertiti bust in there.

Feeling a little guilty that I haven't tried live plants in any of my enclosures, I bought a real Pothos plant and planned to replace the silk one and do a little housekeeping.

"Decorating day" was Saturday and when I opened her enclosure, noticed that there was a little poo on the sides of the enclosure but more on Nefertiti than anywhere else. While I was watching the Avic, she did it again. From somewhere within the silk Pothos came a stream of poo - straight at poor old Nefertiti.

Now I doubt that the T has a grudge against her enclosure decorations but it was funny to see. Pretty impressive velocity too!

Those are not only funny, they're also fascinating observations of just what kind of behavior T's are capable of...

I've observed or heard of so many instances of T's moving things around in their cages, esp. novel introductions, that I think there would be some very interesting experiments to set up to test this behavior...:)
