Hi. I tried to look it up, but couldn't find it.
Do true spiders exhibit threat poses like Ts?

Thanks. NOW I remember P. fera and all its ilk do. I am assuming that all mygalamorphs have threat poses?Yes, some do.
Cool... have you met the Shuar Tribe, btw? And their exquisite shrunken heads?
Thanks! Now you got me traipsing all over the universe lol! The falls and windswept tree are the best IMHO. But the photo of the Big Mama's threat pose takes the prize for sending the hair on my head bristling!
You must post pictures of the -- shrunken heads. Yikes.Cool... have you met the Shuar Tribe, btw? And their exquisite shrunken heads?![]()

Lol. No good dead goes unpunished.Sorry for the duplicate post but I have an other example. Once in the work bathroom there was a woodlouse hunter. I tried to save it because I knew other workers would kill it. I took a piece of paper towel and tried to coax the spider onto it. It threw back a gnarly threat posture and its fangs were out. Eventually I got the spider onto the paper towel and released it outside.
Ok. Need more coffee.Lol. No good dead goes unpunished.
Haha, definitely. I never knew wolf spiders displayed threat postures that crazy, it almost reminded me of a Brazilian wandering spider.Lol. No good dead goes unpunished.
Jeeeeez @wizentrop! I looked up that evil beast. I first thought how cute! Then it turned into the obt of whips. If you want to see a threat pose+hiss in an arachnid, get yourself some Acanthophrynus coronatus. Those things are big, bold, AND loud.
