This is mind blowing. I do not have much an interest in these yet. Something about a bad movie, just gives me ptsd.

But looking at your pictures, this has given me a different perspective and is changing my non-existent appreciation.

Keep sharing, i am loving seeing the evolution and it is very informal.

Scolopendra alternans - common names include Haitian Giant, Caribbean Giant and Florida Keys Centipede.
20 to 23 cm or 8 to 9 inches is not unheard of.

Scolopendra alternans - common names include Haitian Giant, Caribbean Giant and Florida Keys Centipede.
20 to 23 cm or 8 to 9 inches is not unheard of.
Caribbean Islands, South America, Southeast U.S.
This specific one is known as the Hispaniola Red Giant. It gets significantly larger than the Florida locales which max out around 7-8 inches. These Red Giants can attain lengths around 13” possibly even larger, and are one of the bulkiest species on the planet
