I love my curly-hair Velvet -- almost more than my Rosie, Maple. She is astoundingly docile and calm, is very beautiful with the black and gold, and the hair on the abdomen is as soft as silky velvet. :) I do think they're under-rated, especially in the looks department. People don't seem to take in how beautiful they are.

My curly is psycho! she will throw a threat pose quicker than my OBT but I love my Dozer. She's always doing something to make me laugh.

My B. albo's are really my only social Brachy's. The rest of mine run for cover when I get close to their enclosures.

Definitely cute and friendly! I just got two juvies (one male and one female). Here is a picture of the girl.

Second favorite next to the Smithi for me.

Very sweet, infestedtwinkie! Congrats.

Had to put up some pics of mine. Here s/he is shortly after I got him/her:

And here s/he is, shortly after s/he got coco to play with! :

LOL! Needless to say, I don't have recent pics...but I can see him/her in little tunnels throughout that masterpiece of earthmoving. S/he's constantly reworking the floorplan...

Edit: Beautiful, agent lead!

I couldn't agree more, I used to think that the B. Albo "sucked" and was "boring" but ever since I got a young female as a freebie it has quickly become one of my favorite species.

I just recently got my Albo. and he/she has acclimated himself nicely with his new home, he is burrowing right now. I never knew they did this. The smithi I had did a little but mostly to make his hide a little bigger, nothing to the extent the Albo. is.

Agreed. My other brachys are a smithi & an emilia, and neither one is such a mole. All 3 are slings, tho; and I think that albos spend less time tunneling when adult?

Don't know about you, but I get a real kick out of all the earthmoving!

Hes not quite a sling, a juvie though. First Brachy I have seen do this to the extent he has though. He almost buried in his new hole, LOL. Can't wait to get more Brachys. Maybe a smithi again.

My female dug a hole and I haven't seen her since. The crickets I put in there do disappear though :} .The male just moved a bunch of substrate around but didn't burrow. They are both juvies. Maybe she is gearing up for a molt.
