Which is funny, because it's my big girl irminia who literally poses like a prima donna.

By the way, just so no one has to do the math, this is 258 days since Lava's last molt...
Typical underdog complex, might want to get on the horn with a spsychiatrist asap.

"I'm sorry, do you have a 10 page thread? No? Step aside."

Shocking literally no one, the short answer is: neither lol, Lava found a way to invalidate my multiple choice question:

Half hour later, and we seem to have all our precious little feets free, and both glorious, fresh new spinnerets. 🥰

Still on her back flexing and figuring out that these new legs are, in fact, hers.

Did get to see some of the process though, so all her fans out there in AB land can share the riveting, action-packed...action.....

Also, yikes just from those chelicerae it looks like another fabulous growth spurt! 🥰

Nice! and Finally! I am guessing she is done with the molt and taking out the trash. Or is she taking a victory lap ?

Don't you dare look at me like that, missy... And I better not hear a single word out of you next time I fill up your water dish.

The stretching began in earnest last night:

A few comparisons of before this molt and after -- you can see the difference in size and color:

Turns out, if you habitually take like a thousand photos of your spider, somewhere in the mess you probably have the same exact pose one molt ago 🤷

She is seriously gorgeous and no longer fitting under her hide, lol
She really is. I picked a winner.

And yes, definitely will need to spend some time setting up her next bin soon. I have a pile of random different cork bark pieces I'll have to fuss with to see what I can take a chunk from to get a good shape that fits in the bigger enclosure.

I love that she's really getting the proper pulchra black now as her new exo is hardening up.

And also, the floof. Too adorable.

I’m a impulse buyer of cork bark. I have plenty of it at home but every time I go to my local independent pet store I rummage around in the bark bin and usually find an interesting piece. I love the rounds, my tarantulas do not. But it is fun to make an interesting hide for our Ts, like putting a puzzle together sometimes.

I am and others are enjoying watching Lava grow and I think it can help newer owners understand tarantula life better.

I don't know what you're trying to pull, Human, but that is NOT a cricket.

I came all the way over here to check, and I am Not Amused.

11 days since she molted, I'm surprised she isn't pouncing food yet. 🤔

Lava, honey. I know you live your life surrounded by Aviculariinae, but...

You are such a derp. You need to stop listening to Blue so much.

Maybe she's just trying to tell me that she is now finally Ready For Cricket? 🤔

P.S. Don't touch my water dish.
