Of all the books I've read that have to do with Tarantula care and that include sections on their biology I have only seen them referred to as Tarsus and Metatarsus.

I believe the Schultz and Schultz book (The Tarantula Keepers Guide) refers to these segments as basitarsus (metatarsus) and telotarsus (tarsus).
