Hi,

here in the arachnological scene in Europe it is more common to say Tarsus and Metatarsus.

Same in Australia, tarsus and metatarsus.

Of all the books I've read that have to do with Tarantula care and that include sections on their biology I have only seen them referred to as Tarsus and Metatarsus.

I believe the Schultz and Schultz book (The Tarantula Keepers Guide) refers to these segments as basitarsus (metatarsus) and telotarsus (tarsus).
