Ok, well a while back we divided a 10 gal tank and put our big fat female rosie Al on one side and our lanky little mature male Stretch on the other. We have only had stretch for a week or so. We found him at the local pet store with his spurs and boxing gloves and looking ready for action, so we couldnt resist. Since they have been neighbors he has been going crazy. Climbing the dividing wall and drumming like crazy, and trying to get "over the wall". So tonight we decided to put them togeather.
We put stretch in with the female, and he just sat there. After a LONG time we nudged him toward her a little. Still nothing. Nudged him a little closer. Still nothing. So we nudged him back into the corner, and nudged her into the opposite corner, hoping he could gain some nerve if there was some space between them.
After about five min. he moved a little. Then a little more, and then WHAM! he rushed her, lifted, and started inserting like crazy. She was a good girl and let him have his way with her. When he finally let her down he didnt back off, and she showed some vicious fang, so we seperated them with a wooden spoon and put a deli cup over her while we removed him.
He was really doing a good job on her, good solid inserts from what we could tell.
I couldn't get any GOOD pictures, because this is our first breeding project, and I was WAY to excited to concentrate on taking pictures. LOL But I got some shots that don't show alot. They are below, I had to lighten some of them up with photo shop.

This first one is the original stand off.
