"I just love all the different breeds!"
"O. M. G. Wouldn't it be the cutest thing to cross Theraposa blondi with Brachypelma albopilosum to make Goliath Curly Hairs?!"

"I swear, honey, this is my last spider. I don't need anymore."

Wait, this is "Stuff tarantula collectors don't say", not "Stuff tarantula collectors say, but know deep down they don't actually mean"

"So my G. pulchra turned out to be a male, but it's okay. I love him just the same"
Omg stop, I literally sold off a pulchra because it had me fooled into thinking it was female and then it turned male haha. At least I was able to afford a female B. emilia and a G. pulchripes with the money from selling the pulchra lol. (Btw no regrets the pulchra moved 50 times less than either of the newbies)

"It's mean to keep them in a cage. I let mine roam around the house"
Not even gonna lie tho, if you COULD let a tarantula walk around like a regular cat or dog and it could come up to you to snuggle in your lap that would be A W E S O M E

My OBT doesn't need to sit in my lap to smuggle stuff from me; extra crix, worms, even playing cards from time to time when it gets bored in the burrow :D

As for something keepers never say, how about "are your tarantulas de-fanged?". Never gets old :)

I've formed a mutual bond with my L. klugi. I give her dubias; she tries her best to resist the urge to fling hairs at me whenever I open her enclosure.
