Kipling (1.0) P. ornata. His camouflage is amazing! He's a skittish little guy, but comes out regularly at night to hunt. His sacmate, Mowgli, is one molt ahead of him. IMG_20220530_212352511~2.jpg

This tiny little guy/ gal (E. cyanognathus) arrived in the mail about 2 weeks ago. Less than an inch DLS, but so pretty! IMG_20220605_225535905~2.jpg

Matilda (0.1 P. antinous) out and about tonight after molting about a month ago. She gained a huge amount of size and has an insatiable appetite. She's going to be a BIG girl as an adult. IMG_20220611_214557425~2.jpg

Prisca (0.1 T. stirmi) was also very active today. I was able to get some neat shots of her massive fangs since at one point she was up against the glass. She's quite skittish and shy whenever I'm doing maintenance, but won't hesitate to take down larger prey. They are such beautiful animals and efficient predators. Now that temperatures are really warming up, she's getting hungry. IMG_20220611_141713415~2.jpg IMG_20220611_141833221~2.jpg

Crawlspace came out in the middle of the day to hunt, after she heard the rustling of a cricket! Food obsessed. She's definitely one of my favorites. IMG_20220614_192012252~2.jpg 6509439511826510109.jpg

Meet Graham Grammostola ( G. pulchripes). When I got him a few years ago he was a 2i sling that was almost dead from dehydration due to neglect at a pet store. He was in a dram vial with no substrate, food, or water. I knew that if I didn't take him, he was going to die. I usually don't rescue from pet stores but in this case I felt like I should. When smaller, he was a pet hole, but after his recent molt he's been out and about almost all the time! About 2.5in DLS if I had to guess. IMG_20220618_163610730_HDR~2.jpg

Scarlet (0.1 B. emilia) molted about 3 weeks ago and finally decided to come out today! Such a beauty. I love this species. They're a classic for a reason! IMG_20220621_190203637.jpg

Meet Cinder, 0.1 G. pulchra. She's very calm, docile, and just the cutest thing. I saw her and immediately knew that I was taking her home with me. IMG_20220705_155834076_HDR~2.jpg

Tigerlily (0.1 P. vittata) freshly molted and looking gorgeous. She's very active at night but quite shy and difficult to get a decent picture of. IMG_20220704_214732054~2.jpg

Amethyst (0.1 Phormictopus sp. Dominican purple) molted a little over a week ago and is starting to show some adult coloration. She was feisty during rehousing, but everything went smoothly. She'll be much happier in her new habitat. IMG_20220712_200949594~2.jpg

Señor Verdugo (L. klugi) is a mature male and all grown up! Making sperm webs every day. He was my very first tarantula so it's bittersweet. IMG_20220720_201304763~2.jpg

Ignatia (0.1 B. horrida) molted a few days ago. Such a beautiful little spider with a great temperament. Very underrated species in my opinion. IMG_20220731_133905590~2.jpg
