Here's one for Bill

This is my young female (I think) Cyclosternum fasciatum. She was not at all happy about being dug up for this little photo shoot but did a pretty good job of posing once I had her out.

Here's one I don't get to see very often, my juvenile Aphonopelma anax (haven't really tried to sex it yet).

The famous mystery spider

I obtained this juvenile female Brachy back when she was a little ugly baldy and it was sold as a B. annitha - I don't think so. From posting previous pictures and getting people's opinions, I have cautiously ID'd it as a Brachypelma pallidum (pet trade).

Well, if any T goes hungry over here, it's by their own choice.

Thanks for the compliments everyone

Those are very nice looking Tarantulas. Hopefully I'll be getting a digital camera pretty soon so I can take some pictures of my T's. My A. Avicularia's starting to develop a rapunzel worthy spider booty on her.

And now for the other one

This is my other Brachypelma smithi; unfortunately, it's also a juvenile male. One of these two better knock up some nice girl one of these days so I can get another female - wanting another nice, fat female smithi is what I got back into the hobby for, heh.

He is Very handsom.
I have a lovely lady that might just be interested in metting him one day. :)

(Looks at Sprocket's tank)

Ok, she's scratching her rear right now...
But still is a Lovely lady....

Another photogenic one

The always beautiful Avicularia versicolor. I'm not 100% positive, but I'm pretty sure this one is a male, too.

By popular demand

Getting this shot was fun. I decided to skip the fridge and got to chase a sprinting togo across my room and under a desk as my reward.

Well, here is a juvenile Heteroscodra maculata, no idea what the sex is - I had enough fun getting it to pose for this shot.

One of my favorite species

This is a subadult Avicularia avicularia. I believe it is female but still haven't managed to confirm it with a moult yet as it tends to keep its moults down in the tube web until they're beyond recognition.

Hey Chip,
You have some really nice looking T's there. Got to love the C.fasciatum, and the H.maculata.

nice pics CM....

And glad you skipped the fridge as well. I've known lots of folks to do it to them but the problem I have with the fridge is that you really place the T at great risk. There's a very fine line between cold enough to manipulate and cold enough to harm the T. As long as you maintain your composure and give yourself some room so if the T bolts then the fridge shouldn't ever be needed.

Just my 2 cents.

That's more or less why I skipped it. I couldn't see deliberately chilling such a nice species before I'd actually seen just how out of control it was.

It was extra fun because it had two modes: stubborn jackass and olympic dasher. So I'd poke and prod and prod some more and it would just sit there and then all of sudden without any warning, foom!

Composure - and a very long paint brush ;) - I've got in spades :D
