Truly terrifying! They're like the pitbulls of the invert world.
Alex, I read somewhere that there are a couple of venomous solifugids. Is that true? If so, what sp. are they and are they available in the hobby?

Solifugae

Hey Gary, yeah, solifs are definetely one of the top monsters of the invert world, along with giant water bugs and centipedes of course.

Yes, there is one venemous species of solifugid known. Of the family Rhagodidae, species Rhagodes nigrocinctus, from India. The venom is capable of subdueing small animals like mice and lizards. :D
