Small frog okay to feed my emperor?

My emperor scorpion is about 2.5-3 inches long (body).

So, every night all of these little green frogs collect on the sides of my house and eat the bugs that collect around the house lights. They're not much bigger than large crickets.. I was wondering if it would be a bad idea to capture one of these guys to feed my emperor?

I'm not sure exactly what kind of frog they are, but they seem like a generic bug eating tree frog.

Waddya think?

There are some lakes close to my house. And I wonder if I could catch some frogs for my heterometrus longimanus. These are green frogs and aren't very big, at least 2 inches. My heterometrus is a adult female.
Thanks

dont mess with amphibians they are dissapearign too fast from the planet and tend to have chemical defences. if you really want to try it expect to risk your emperor (who really like certian types of large millipedes) though they might just end up cohabitating. try feedign the emp a moose bet theyd liek moose

Why do you say watching a poor animal squirm in pain?
Crickets can squirm in pain too! In the jungle, the same thing happens. Scorpions can eat lizard, I don't know why it's cruel in captivity :?

I agree.I am shure that there are plenty of other things you could find to feed him.But in the ned it is really your choice.Besides frogs are cool.

because it can be prevented, just because people in the jungles of SE asia used to eat people, doesnt mean they are allowed to now eh?

and this has been covered before, you get more "energy" from organisms lower int he food chain, so a cricket (which anoles eat) would be more nutritious for the scorp than the actual anole
i think this is true... (dont take my fact for truth tho)

Millipedes also have chemical defences.
yes different ones have diufferent chemical defences but certian species also make up part of their natural diet

I'm just trying to find something to feed my scorpion from the outside around my house...

I haven't been able to buy crickets for a while and the poor guy is begging for food. :)

(he hasn't eaten in only three or four days and he's freaking out, lol)

I feed him irregularly. Sometimes he gets one cricket a week.. sometimes four..six.. sometimes one a day for a few days in a row and sometimes like four at once.

:)

I figure irregular feeding shouldn't hurt him, probably a bit more natural. My feeder cricket supply is out, though, and he's walking around asking for food.. so I was trying to think of something I could pick up off the ground out here. :)

There are lots of little tree frogs but then I realized that they'd be able to climb on the glass.. so fudge that :)

Ok, its perfect ;)
I feed my scorpions every 1 or 2 weeks and its suffisant.
By this way, they cannot be fat.
