It's a mixture of Excavator clay substrate and sand. I REALLY like the excavator clay. It's pricey but worth it. Poor little guy. I'm glad that he's in a much better situation now.Pandinus imperator rescue today from the awful LPS conditions. Was on about .5in or pretty much bone dry substrate that I saw it on yesterday. I never “rescue” but this one really got to me yesterday
