FYI: The source that I posted the information from was Invertebrate Medicine by Greg Lewbart. He is very,very well known and respected. I'll try and repost the second bit of information. I have no idea why photobucket scrambled it.
I would recommend this book to anyone. The tarantula disease section is awesome. Actually all the sections are awesome.
btw. the rosie is anesthetized with Isoflurane gas. obviously none of the above techniques should be attempted except by individuals with a lot of experience. I just posted the above for educational purposes.
