To camouflage the poop?
haha guess that’s all it’s good for pretty useless for Ts? I hoped it was a good vermiculite alternative; nope ! Seems to be a tiny amount of vermiculite in this substrate.

I still gotta clean the lid off , with something that won’t scratch it .

Might not have even been the substrate, same behavior from the spider rehoused. Unless it hates the new tank also sub is very dry . B96C6851-47EB-41C1-97E2-AD8B83585CC5.jpeg

It could take weeks for it to settle in. Don't understand how you have missed that tad bit of Information in the last ten year's.

Yeah I know I meant maybe it just likes to sit on the walls until it gets used to the new enclosure . Not sure how long I’m letting the original tank dry out , do you think it’s got enough ventilation I got pics above a few posts. I’d rather drill more holes while nothing is inside there, if I need too. It needed redone anyways, since the hide got buried years ago .

I was rehousing l klugi it I took the lid off , it sat there for over a hour did not move at all. I had to put some rubber gloves on Incase it kicks hairs (it didn’t ) and use a large lid for it to climb on. Put it back in the glass enclosure for now . Do you have any suggestions to improve this tank ? I mean it looks a lot better then before I redid the thing altogether. But my spider keeps on exploring around maybe she’s trying to escape ? Haha .. could take weeks to get used to the redone tank.

No tips ? Lol ;) Ive done exactly as suggested deepened the substrate in all my larger containers. And my plastic shoebox’s are short so within 1.5-2x dls to the lid .

Is there some reason my t keeps sitting on the glass every day ??
the substrate is dry I just don't IMG_4028.jpeg IMG_4027.jpeg IMG_4026.jpeg IMG_4025.jpeg understand it makes zero sense .
I know Ts do weird things both should I be worried ? Or is it irrelevant? I’m thinking it’s the latter as it can’t even fall it’s own leg-span . So fall damage isn’t possible it’s got 5.25” to climb and it’s over 6”+..

Update: the t is Doing great in its redone enclosure it celebrated by kicking hairs when I was checking its water dish . It refuses to eat it acts similar to a G rosea. With more hair kicking !! I may remove the cup hide it shows no interest. IMG_4091.jpeg IMG_4092.jpeg
