Rain Water in Coco Coir Ok?

Hey all, alright here's the deal. I only use distilled water for anything that has to do with my T's; their drinking water, cleaning their enclosures, mixing it with coco coir, etc. Well I just made a new batch of coir the other day and I made it too wet so I just set it outside for awhile since its in the 90's where I live. Well I left it outside yesterday and of course it came a torrential downpour. So my question is will the coco coir be ok to use since it's soaked with rain water now? Only reason I ask is cause everyone knows that rain water isn't exactly the cleanest water to say the least and I don't want any chemicals or anything like that being in my substrate. Or what if I let it dry completely, would the chemicals still be in there? I figured they would but just thought I'd throw that out there. Any thoughts?

As long as you let it dry out, I don't see a problem. Rain water isn't THAT dirty, as it's been "purified" in the clouds after evaporating.

Come on now, do you really think rain water is going to harm your spider? It isn't going to melt :D

Drinking rainwater is the biggest killer of wild tarantulas..... All sarcasm aside. It's rain water lol...

Justin, I wonder how many bottles of water the staff at wild protected rainforests go through watering the wild tarantulas :). Seriously though, bottled water is no more than sewer water with the poop strained out...

Ok I think I'm starting to sense some sarcasm here.......seriously though I'm not stupid I know wild T's drink rain water and are just fine. I just wonder if they've built up a "tolerance" to the things that are in the rain water where as all my T's are CB so they haven't been exposed I guess you could say to the microbes and such that's present in rain water versus the distilled water they've drank since they've been in my care. I know it was just an overkill question to begin with, I was just curious more than anything. But thanx for letting me know my T's won't melt, at least I can check that off my list.

I use bottled water for their water bowls and for misting, as I'm pretty sure they don't need chlorine or fluoride or whatever the heck is added to my tap water, but it never occurred to me to wonder about rain water. Oh, wait, I live in the desert. WHAT RAIN???!
