Yes, there is NCF (normal color form) and RCF (red color form). "Usambara" is the RCF.

Very nice pics....~!!!!!

I too have 5 new little Pterinochilus murinus slings. They are fun but very intimidating.

It is pretty skittish but I haven't seen a threat pose yet from it and i've bothered it enough where it certainly could have (while cleaning the cage). Overall I would say it's just nervous

If you shine the flashlight just right on our sling you can see the same color.

waitin on mine to molt...it's about the same size as that one (~3"). One question though, and i see this with a lot of people takin pics of arboreals, especially the more defensive ones...aren't you afraid that it will take off running out of the tank and across the room? Or am i just a wuss because i don't feel like chasing down one of these things (that and my apt is far from clean...piles of clothes and paper EVERYWHERE *not enough storage space)? lol

very nice pics too

Hahaha can you imagine that? Losing a P. Murinus? Waking up in the morning at7:55 to be at work for 8AM..."Man I'm so late! I don't have time to hunt for clothes! This red shirt in the middle of this pile looks clean enough to wear." *Picks up shirt and P. Murinus emerges from deep within pile of clothes and sprays*

It's funny you mentioned finding a murinus in some clothes...

My only escapee to date is my P.murinus (now a mature male). He squished himself through the tiniest space along one side of the plexiglass lid (boy did I fix that quick!), during the night. He was a sling then...about 3 years ago.

I checked on him first thing in the morning, and he was gone. I was not pleased. I started looking near his tank, looking for him in the open. Nothing. I looked through the couple of clothes items a few feet away, and put them on my bed after finding nothing in them...or so I thought.

After another half hour or so of looking, I had to leave, so I said screw it...I'll either find him, or he'll find me. I went to grab the clothes from the bed, put my hand down on my gray hoody, and out of the corner of my eye I see this orange spot that wasn't there half an hour ago.

I pulled my hand away (thankfully I have very quick hands), and sure enough the little bugger was just chillin' there.

I'm assuming he was in the hoody, because I'd rather not think he was in my bed.
