ooo good question. i’ve emailed the person a while ago to see if she molted but no reply. so all i know is she was the last female adult she had. i’ve had her for about 4-5 months so i’m assuming if they were fertile it would have happened?
Ah this is where I got caught recently, spiders don't gestate like us they can drop a week after they can drop a year after as long as they don't moult in-between it could be fertile.
When I first answered you I assumed she was cb but if there is a chance she's wc and she has never moulted for you then it could be viable. Just keep an eye on it, if she destroys it like my girl you have np if it hatches remove her and catch up little ones, you'll need the small fruit flys to feed them and small deli cups to house in but that's if it's fertile. Good chance if you got her from a reputable seller that it's a dud though.

My son has ADHD and autism so I understand don't worry 😉 about 4 weeks depending on your temps ect warmer it is the quicker they hatch as far as I know.
I don't normally recommend this channel coz I don't like the way she is with her t's but tarantula kat breeds jumpers and has vids on it on utube maybe watching one of her baby's hatching vids my help you to know what to expect at least 😊

this also explains her massive bloated/red abdomen which i thought was her being over fed. because her tummy was like that for a while. & i just had a peep & her tummy is so much smaller.

I live in the uk so probably colder then where u are 😆 at the very least alot wetter lol, and yes he does a small world indeed, luckily he is just like his mum n loves t's, spiders , and music so we have alot in common, I know some mums aren't as lucky. My little brother (who is 6ft n now alot bigger then me 😆) is high functioning autistic too so I am very used to dealing with ppl that need to know everything about everything lol luckily I love to research stuff so it works.
As I said with tarantula kat I don't recommend her but I don't know of any other utubers that have baby jumpers so atleast she will give you an idea what to expect if it is viable. I am kinda hopeful it is with how excited you got could be the start of a whole new jumper breeder 😉

oh then yes defiently 😂 i’m in aus Melbourne & the weather is tragic.
aww that’s amazing! my boy isn’t that drawn to animals but music we both love! ☺ that’s very sad high functioning i couldn’t imagine that.
my adhd makes it hard to be able to explain things so we can be opposites there, it’s a challenge most won’t understand.
atleast i know how he is feeling, he is exactly like me in his functioning.

thankyou so much!! oh you have no idea haha i love these jumping spiders i wanted to breed & was researching but wasn’t feeling 100% confident.

I don't think any breeder does till they do it 😊 I was actually recently considering breeding my t's I have alot of females I think would make great mums but I wasn't confident I could hatch out a sac, then one of my big girls a sericopelma sp Darien I had had for 9 months decided to drop a sac , its how I found out about spider gestation because I had had her 9 months I believed it wouldn't be viable but 3 weeks have past now she still has it and weather its a dud or is viable her keeping it has given me the confidence to actually try to get a sac this time lol. I bet this will do the same for you, your care clearly right or she wouldn't of dropped and you have managed to get her to keep it so I don't see why you couldn't breed them 😊 your already 3/4th of the way there !

I understand that both my son and brother get what we call word soup when they try and explain things, luckily for them they have me to translate to others when they start getting frustrated. But I should imagine it is difficult on your own hopefully you have friends and family to support n help you and your little boy ❤

okay that’s a very good point just like having a baby 😂 we have no idea what we’re doing until that happens.
oh wow that is amazing!!!! trantulas must be so cool to raise! my partner would actually die if i brang one into the house. the 3 jumping spiders & lizard is alraady pushing it 😂 that’s true because the universe the other day sent me a lil wild jumping spider in my kitchen she came to me & now she’s in her own enclosure. i swear my male who just molted was dancing or interested in her so that’s why i was researching.
now wednesday drops something

it’s amazing they have someone like you to be there safe space & voice everyone needs that. i wish i had that when i was little.
i suppose nothing in this life that isn’t rewarding or worth it is easy 🖤☺

thankyou for the confidence ☺

Yes it is just like having a baby you can research till the cows come home but nothing prepares you for the actual job till you have a baby lol 😆
See even the spider gods think you should breed them! If that wasn't a sign I don't know what is 😊
Aww sucks he doesn't like t's 😕 its a must for me in a relationship lol, I am very lucky and my partner actual breeds tarantulas, we actually met because of ab we got talking on here, I bought a t off him for my son n the rest is history. He has a massive collection of 340+ t's so my 80 are nothing lol 😆 In our relationship it usually goes 'Babe I found this t' n it usually ends in the other saying ' be rude not to get it' 🤣

And your right there anything in life worth it's salt in life takes hard work and dedication but the benefits outweigh the effort for me any day 😊

I have 100% confidence you can do this, spider gods wouldn't have given it if they didn't think you were ready.
My favourite saying in the world is ' we are never given more then we can handle ' 😉😊 I believe this applies here too.

Gl and keep us updated if it hatches or you take the plunge and become a new jumper breeder 😉 ❤❤❤

There's no need to intervene. Nothing you can do anyway--just relax and wait for nature to take its course

Hopefully you don't have any tiny holes. Cause you'll have to play I spy for a while around the house if you don't contain them early.

I think they mean to cover up the air holes so baby spiders aren't escaping and roaming all over your house.

Wrap the enclosure in panty hose. And tie it tight in the back in a knot. The babies are escape artists. You will 100% thank me later. Don't ask how I know this. Lol

@spideyygirl Something overlooked in this thread, pun intended. Webs are reserve food sources for some spiders. Pure protein that can be eaten and easily metabolized back into the chemicals the spider uses for nutrients. A very common version of this is some orb weavers make their orbs in the evening and eat the sticky lines come dawn, only leaving the frame work.

I met an undergrad student in entomology long ago who was planning on writing his thesis on webs and their uses. Spiders are only a small part of the animals that make webs and the applications vary from food catching to altering the local environment for specific purposes, from mating, protection, on out to infrastructure, weather stations predicting variations in temperature and humidity and so on.
I searched but the student vanished along with his planned treatise and book to be written. This could be a thread, an ongoing topic, for us here on AB, the various uses of webbing, how the animals produce the webs and what circumstances.
One example is some mites such as 'dust mites' require a web mass for species survival, locally altering the climate and environment. A requisite part of a species of the red spider mite life cycle is the communal webbing they produce, and on and on.
