Does anyone have any experience with this species or knowledge? I have been researching for an hour and haven't come up with much, new world arboreal from Brazil, probably kept similar to Avicularia?

I came across a 3 inch adult today at a reptile store for $30 and I did a quick search then to see what I was getting myself into and couldn't find much info but ended up coming home with the tarantula anyway since it seemed like a good deal. Very neat T thus far and seems extremely docile.

Probably, but I'd still like to see photos.

Wish I could get that lucky. Best luck I ever had at a pet shop was getting a mature female A. geniculata for $50 - with enclosure. Oh and a 2" B. albiceps female for $20 at a Petco. They had it labeled as a vagans.

Same! The luckiest I got was. $14.99 female E. pachypus, mislabeled as a S. calceatum

So, leaveittoweaver, about those photos....? It's not like the Internet is overflowing with photos of them. You are crushing us here. Crushing us. :hurting: Is that what you want, leaveittoweaver? Is that really what you want? o_O

I was selling Pachistopelma bromelicola and Pachistopelma rufonigrum and kept a few of each for quite some time. I belive Aram (Jack the jewler) atempted to breed a few with no success yet. They are both stunning, but the rufonigrum had a bit more flare i.m.o. The amazing thing to me is the carapace. It shape is flat almost pushed in yet has beautiful defining ridges. Truly an amazing spider and I would love to see pictures of your as well ;) Better yet the name of the pet shop selling this beauty for a disgustingly cheap price.....one call will tell all...number please:jimlad:

Hahahaha. So sorry for the wait guys. Been a super busy week at work and didn't check this thread until now. Please let me know what you think! I got the tarantula from New England Reptile(Zoo Creatures) in New Hampshire. The worker knew nothing about the tarantula and decided to scoop it out and start handling it in an attempt to show off...the tarantula is very mild tempered, similar to Avicularia in speed.

Since someone said it could be a mislabeled Iridopelma, I've been looking through the Iridopelma thread...nothing looks like this guy.
Here's the picture!

Well Well Well, looks like one indeed...look at the flat Carapace almost like a thumb print smashed it flat. I look forward to giving them a call tomorrow and find out who, what, when, where, why, how. This is their correct Address: 149 Plaistow Rd, Plaistow, NH 03865 Phone (603) 382-3338 ?. Thanks for the pictured response and great pick up....get as many as you can if they have more for 30.00 bucks :drunk:
