Hi đź‘‹

I have a 3" P. vittata and I see when the females are mature they have vibrant contrasted white and black patterns, similar to a regalis. As of now mine has grayish/brownish colors, and I think it's a possible female. At what size do female vittata colors start to show more vibrant and contrasted whites, blacks and grays?

Here is a pic of mine from my thread (vittata is in more recent post) from not too long ago what it looks like now:

Thanks!

I'd say about 5-6". With males staying dark and drab all their lives. This species is very sexually dimorphic.

Yours looks female to me. But I've only raised a handful.

@Venom1080 sweet. Thanks man. I looked at some pokie ventral pics for a while and I was told by another person that at this size, the colors are brighter already than the males put out. So I'm just waiting I guess for the next 2-3 molts for those gnarly colors. Fingers crossed it's a girl, but I think it is. Thanks for your reply
