They good kickers ?? HahaWhat ColoepteraC said.
Also, mine are prone to kick hairs during normal feeding/watering/spot cleaning. It's just something to be aware of.
This looks more antinous and not machallaMy girl is an absolute beast at over 8". She is a bit shy, never eating in front of me, and never kicks or anything. I had her out to do a photoshoot with her and she was not in the least bit defensive.
Gorgeous species.
Pamphobeteus sp. Machala Adult Female - ~8+"
Taken a few weeks after moulting and she is still jet black like this.
Sounds like mine!My juvenile P. sp. machala has by far the biggest attitude of all of my T's. Awesome species and I love mine, but damn is s/he a dick. lol Repeatedly rushes down anything s/he perceives as moving or capable of moving (including water, plants, tools/people) & kicks like s/he's got a quota to meet.
None of my other pamps are this way — they're "bold," but mostly calm and pretty much universally bolt to their burrows if spooked. Not the machala.
Anyone else have this experience? I know T's all have their own personality. Just curious if this is a thing. And/or if they ever chill tf out. lol
My machala is very much like this now. He (guessing sub-adult male based on how colorful he is) was actually pretty mellow as a sling. Still had a powerful food response, but very little hair kicking until he reached around the 5-inch mark. Now... let's just say I've had a rash from my finger tips to my elbows for the last 11 days, and he's the only spider that kicked when I rehoused him that day. "Kicks like he's got a quota to meet" sounds about right to me.My juvenile P. sp. machala has by far the biggest attitude of all of my T's.
