Finally ordered my second T and was wondering if there's anything specific to know about The machala or is it to be cared for the same as other species in the region

You mean Pamphobeteus sp. Machala?

Same care as others in the region, terrestrial enclosure with moist soil and decent ventilation (not a lot, not too little). Don’t worry about humidity (same goes for all T’s), try not to swamp the enclosure and you’re good!

What ColoepteraC said.

Also, mine are prone to kick hairs during normal feeding/watering/spot cleaning. It's just something to be aware of.

I got mine as a 1” sling and he 🤞🏾 (Grape Ape) has eaten right up till he molted all 4 times he’s molted. I’ve never had him turn down a meal. The only time he comes out is to chase down a cricket then it’s right back to his burrow.

My girl is an absolute beast at over 8". She is a bit shy, never eating in front of me, and never kicks or anything. I had her out to do a photoshoot with her and she was not in the least bit defensive.
Gorgeous species.
This looks more antinous and not machalla

Had mine for around 9 months from a sling. Now around 4 inches leg span. Never hides much, always hungry, and very fast when it wants to be!

My juvenile P. sp. machala has by far the biggest attitude of all of my T's. Awesome species and I love mine, but damn is s/he a dick. lol Repeatedly rushes down anything s/he perceives as moving or capable of moving (including water, plants, tools/people) & kicks like s/he's got a quota to meet.

None of my other pamps are this way — they're "bold," but mostly calm and pretty much universally bolt to their burrows if spooked. Not the machala. 😂

Anyone else have this experience? I know T's all have their own personality. Just curious if this is a thing. And/or if they ever chill tf out. lol

My machala is very much like this now. He (guessing sub-adult male based on how colorful he is) was actually pretty mellow as a sling. Still had a powerful food response, but very little hair kicking until he reached around the 5-inch mark. Now... let's just say I've had a rash from my finger tips to my elbows for the last 11 days, and he's the only spider that kicked when I rehoused him that day. "Kicks like he's got a quota to meet" sounds about right to me.

I have a cascada and a mascara as well. They're still much younger, but they very rarely kick hairs. Hopefully that remains true as they age, but I'm not confident that will be the case. Time will tell. Absolutely gorgeous, good size for a display T, and always fun on feeding day. Pamphos are definitely among my favorite genera. Just need to remember my lab coat and gloves next time I have to rehouse one of them. Seriously, the itchiness is maddening.
