Good day!! I am planning to buy a couple of p auratus perhaps this november, unfortunately there are no sheets available online. Can someone please share their knowledge? Thanks in advance
And the guy named Phormic isn’t?He's the man when it comes to phormics.
Present company excluded, of course! I too have a passion for all things phormitopus! And the guy named Phormic isn’t?
But to reiterate Tom’s channel is a source of valuable info for anyone starting in the hobby!
I'm debating between auratus and s. hispaniola. Thoughts? Which one has more personality, better color, ease of care, etc?Yeah, nice and easy to keep...an absolutely fantastic looking species too. The gold/bronze carapace is something else.
All the phormics are cool and pretty simple to keep, you cant go wrong with either.I'm debating between auratus and s. hispaniola. Thoughts? Which one has more personality, better color, ease of care, etc?
Yes, i love them! I bummed that i sold my 4 specimens, but i moved and couldnt take them with me! Gonna buy new as soon as i see any for sale! One of the few NW I would like (and would be able) to keep actually. Their temperament is so bad it's funny
Gorgeous too, even the 'standard' cancerides.![]()
Another aspect most appealing.Something else to keep in mind, which I recently had the misfortune of learning after the fact:
P. auratus spiderlings are NOT blue!
Might want to check out this thread for more info:

I just recently purchased both. I honestly keep them the same as all the other slings. Great eaters! Fun to watch after you drop a cricket in.I'm debating between auratus and s. hispaniola. Thoughts? Which one has more personality, better color, ease of care, etc?
