I don't know if it was a mistake or not. perhaps they were measuring cephlothorax and abdomen? Who knows. Love them regardless

Just because you're happy with the mistake doesn't mean that it should have happened. I'd watch out for that thing maturing into a male.

Big black is the common name, or a common name for the minax.

You've gotta love a big beautiful minax, When these are out and about (which is rare) they can be seriously firey.

I was under the impression that there are very few positively identified minax. And that these were know as Cyriopagopus(haplopelma) sps. "Big black" unless Identified?

That's mature, they're brown pre-maturity.
