Wow ! Quite an upgrade ! I like the fact that you named them Alby with a number. That's cute. She will definitely appreciate the upgrade.

Everything is progressing so quickly. I'm 7 months into this (July 2021 to March 2023) and as of yesterday, I have another sling that's molted up to almost 2in DLS, is now sexed male, and also rehoused in a bigger enclosure. It seems two more slings are going into premolt also. Going to be really interesting to see how things look at the 1 year mark. This whole experience has been so rewarding and engaging.

I do name all of my Ts. So, B. albiceps #6, the suspected female I posted about last is tentatively named Luna.

B. albiceps #8, my male that molted a few days ago is named Lucky. Thanks to @spideyspinneret78 for helping with the sexing. This is the one I accidentally dropped in its deli cup a while back and survived the fall. Here are the pics of his recent molt and rehouse from earlier this week and rehouse last night.

I'm realizing I'm going to need more space soon...

Dude, congrats! This just makes me want an albiceps
:bigtears:
Thanks! I follow you on Twitter and see you are in the LA area too. Once some of these a a bit bigger and they are all sexed I'm going to trade or sell a few of them off. I'll hit you up then to see if you're interested. 😉

Wow ! It's really going nicely :) So you have a tentative female and a male. Are they from the same sac ? If not, you could try breeding them when the time comes :D This is what I would totally LOVE to accomplish one day with either B. hamorii or G. porteri. A guy can dream ;)

Yep, sadly, the 8 slings I have are from the same sac. I do have 3 other older B. albiceps from other sources now, so breeding is still an option down the line. 😉

One Year Update!!!

TLDR: I have managed to get 8 B. albiceps slings and 1 B. smithi sling from 0.25in or so DLS to 2.0+in DLS in 12 months.

Slings.png

Detailed Update:
-It has been exactly 12 months since I got the slings.
-All slings are now in 12oz deli cups.
-All slings are 2.0in DLS or larger.
- I have been able to sex most of their recent molts and determine sex with confidence using a jeweler's lens.
- Out of the 9 slings, I have: 3 confirmed females, 2 confirmed males, 2 suspected males, and 2 unknowns.
-All are still being kept in my walk-in closet at 85F for 10 to 12 hours a day.
-They are eating machines and have never fasted for me. They only refuse right before a molt for 5 to 7 days.
-They are now eating a whole small cricket every 5 days.

What a journey it has been! These Ts are total sweethearts and I can't wait to see them grow even more.

Here they are!:

Wow ! I can't believe a year has already gone by since you started ! Incredible ! The heated closet definitely made a difference in their growth rate. Everyone is looking quite good. Looking forward to see how much they'll have grown over your second year of keeping them.
