Looking great! Glad they're coming along nicely. I'm glad you have some people who are interested in the little guys. I wouldn't have the time, interest, or patience to raise a bunch of little pet rocks either haha. G. pulchripes do grow slowly, but at least some of them are actually active X). That is awesome! I would just leave them alone until they molt to 2nd instar.

They hatched from the egg to what's pictured here currently, correct?

Thanks for the encouragement. I did separate some obvious deflated ones and others that were stuck to each other, brown or undeveloped. I left all but the deflated ones in the incubator but they are no longer touching each other. I will update with more pics of my alien army as they develop.

Seperate them as soon as they turn to EWL I lost around 25 from my recent Avicularia sac due to cannibalism, good job incubating them, and make sure to turn the eggs regularly

I opened the sac on Sept 5th but I don't know know how long it had been around. I now see at least 5 EWLs showing some dark color on their legs. Some of them are way fatter than others, which is interesting. I thought the fatter ones would be developing faster but it doesn't seem to matter. Some EWLs have failed and just 'deflated', some are eggs that I assume weren't fertile and are still creme colored, some eggs have begun to turn brown. This is an interesting process to watch. Occasionally I see them move their legs but mostly they just seem to sit there and do nothing like a rosea normally does...lol.

Yep. Lots more darkened legs than the night before as well.

I'm gonna change that. They didn't molt and start crawling around. It looks more like they aren't as fat and so they kind of just tipped over onto their legs and started walking. I guess they are technically still EWLs.

Nope, those are first instars alright. You even see the molt right beside it.
Note the big difference in structure and size between the larger one and the one directly above it.

There was a reason for my asking, and it has mostly to do with instar progression (of tarantulas in general, but particularly with G. rosea), and a certain author's opinion on how it goes.

The ones with darkened legs are farther along development wise. The darkening is the new exoskeleton forming underneath; the darker they are, the closer they are to molting.

If I'm understanding what Stan is saying and from my observations, the ones roaming around now are 2nd instars and not 1st? I caught one finishing a molt (middle of second pic). You can see some bristles in the photos, sorry for the crappy quality. Also are those the spinnerets showing on the ones with color showing? I separated a few out so I can observe the changes more closely. The process from EWLs to 2nd has been quick. Thanks for the links and the input.
