@Madnesssr thanks for the tag but I'm just getting into roaches so I don't know much about what Carthropod is asking. A green banana would look cool IMO but IDK if they would be harmful. Maybe a small Gyna sp. I know I love them and some are very tropical looking and are. I keep a few in sine of my vivs that only have plants, isopods springtails and the roaches. I'm thinking about adding Blaberus giganteus "Giant Cave Roach" in my Archispirostreptus gigas "African giant millipede" viv.

Green bananas are cool, they can climb pretty well so except for maybe occasionally bothering your Indians they wouldn’t be harmful. Pretty much all roach species are safe to keep with Indian stick insects. I’d say a blaberus cave roach or two would be an interesting addition.

Just remember that Banana roaches are quite keen escape artists, when I first got some they managed to slip through some surprising cracks and fly (yep, they fly surprisingly well) around the room before recapture:lol:. They’re lots of fun and personality!

may you'd like some cool isopods since they will hang out on the ground?

green banana roaches (Panchlora nivea) yeah but they escape. I have to think of a double lid inside their habitat to keep the greenies in

I need more cool isopods. I also have a lot of cool ones my self.
I once kept some cool isopods, they were fun yet the usual strains of obtaining good quality, safe leaf litter and rotten wood in the middle of a city caught up with me...

yeah i like the green banana roach but the fact that it bolts out if o open the viv is not very pleasing for my ears
is ther any other roach as neon tropical colored?

They are more of an ‘arboreal’ species so will occasionally climb. They also like ‘tall’ hides such as horizontal cork tubes. They don’t climb regularly but you’ll get the occasional few climbing around. They can’t climb glass very well but are better at it than a most roach species.

Have you looked at the genus Gyna? (Porcelain roaches) There are a few species and colour forms that assume a greenish to yellow colour and they are less escape prone than Panchlora.

You need to know how the different life stages behave before mixing orders like that. And all roaches will take advantage of a protein source when offered (I'm not saying they'd eat your phasmids, I highly doubt they would unless you got Eublaberus posticus). But what about the phasmid eggs? They just drop them on to the floor if I remember correctly. No guarantee they'd get eaten, but it's possible. There's also the concern of them getting buried since Panchlora and Gyna nymphs burrow, as do the adults when disturbed. Granted I'm not sure how good phasmid nymphs are at digging, but I'm going to guess not great.

@The Odd Pet I wouldn't keep Blaberus with any millipedes since the nymphs and adults readily burrow. They'll either stress the millipedes out or accidentally disturb the pede when molting, probably killing it.

If you can get some Gyna caffrorum I think they would look amazing. Or a more rare species like Gyna gloriosa they would look amazing in viv. I can't wait to get both.
