Soo... here is my boring (and first online video appearance) rehousing video! lol
I was expecting a lot more of a challenge from this tarantula, but he acted like a doll... making me look stupid in gloves and a jacket to protect again the swarm of urticating hairs I thought was imminent {D

Nice job rehousing! This is the perfect vid to show someone who is new to the hobby. You were on the floor, you used a container to move it from one enclosure to the next, and you had some protective gear on! Good job!

What a neat enclosure! I loved how you rehoused your T. I will use that method in the future. :)

Looks like quite a healthy Theraphosa sp.
I was wondering...How did you make the two levels?

Thanks yall! :) It was really a lot of fun! I figured it would be boring because it's three minutes of, as someone said, a flawless transfer... but I was looking at it from the entertainment perspective, rather than the informative lol

We realized afterwards that we should have done an instructional video when we made the tank... but we were having WAY too much fun playing in the dirt and caulking, that it wouldn't have been too productive to film it haha but the layers are floral foam (the green stuff you can buy at Wal mart in the fake flower section)... the platform for the second layer, was cut to fit tight and has a block of foam underneath in the middle (so Haught can navigate around it).. the ramp is made of foam as well, glued to the tank at the low end and propped up on another block of foam at the high end. Then various blocks of foam to make the steps and whatnot :) I hope that all makes sense... and I'll definitely do a video next time!

Very well done, Jairi!!!! Perfect first video!!!!
Fast, efficient, and a very nice demonstration of your net-technique. Plus, your enclosure looks amazing!!!!

The vid wasn't as boring as you think......watching you jump was priceless!!! ;P

Constructive criticism, if I may??? Next time, pull your hair back. Ever since the last time I actually misted an enclosure, I've always done that before working with any spider. For one reason or another I had my hair down one night, misted the enclosure, and had a versi sling in my hair for about a half hour.

If you must use gloves, use latex or nitrile ones. Those won't restrict your movements, should you need dexterity in your digits. :p

Thanks guys!

Steve... He hit the plastic hard, and yeah.. I jumped LOL I've known this T since he was little.. I wouldn't want him loose on me!

Thank you for the tips! I rarely, rarely ever put my hair up... I'm weird like that lol.
But considering my next rehoming is going to be an H mac sling... I will definitely take your advice!
(and I am giggling about the image of you with a versi sling in your hair! Pics or it didn't... what? :p)

I did look for latex gloves first, and then dish washing gloves... and I couldn't find any.
So mittens were a last resort :p lol
