M. mesomelas mating

Here are some mating photos I took last night of Megaphobema mesomelas. This is my younger female... she still has some growing to do, but was very eager to mate.

How big is your female (measure good), I am worried mine might be small, afterall who knows the sexually mature size....

This female is right around 5" DLS when spread out... my larger female, ~6" DLS, and much more robust, has yet to show intrest in mating.

This smaller female was drumming like crazy though, they went at it for quite some time, all over her enclosure.

No luck getting them to hook up at your place yet?

It's the same tarantula that I've been posting pictures of previously. This is after it's molt a couple of weeks ago. It wasn't too happy about being photographed today.

my mesomelas finally arrived...ALIVE.....after 37 days in the mail (backlog/got lost bec of the xmas season rush)....it's about 4 cm...willl try to post some pics...its gotten to be my favorite T...
