You mean slings?

L.parahybana can have up to 2000 eggs per sac.

spiderling you ever did see.Thay are so tiny that I don't know any of them
survive in the wild.

Surprises me that they're that small when another "giant" species, T. blondi, has significantly larger slings... :?

The extremely surprising thing is that I couldnt find any dead sling or any bad molted one,ANY in all those.

The mom is a monster, my friend Tom ("Barabootom") has it ;)

But if you notice, T.blondi only lay around 150-200 eggs. It's as if LPs have smaller babies just so they can pack more eggs in a sac.

Probably has something to do with the fact that T. blondis have significantly fewer slings in comparison to the LP. I'd hate to see how much a female LP would have to invest in her eggs to produce 2500 T. blondi sized slings. There's always a trade-off when it comes to survival strategies. I'm willing to bet LP slings have a far lower survival rate in the wild than in Fran's house :p

Edit: must work on typing faster.

Thay are a large great T once thay reach 1".But thay are so tiny that it
takes it takes 8 plus molts for them to reach 1".There are so many spiderlings
that nobody even seperates them to thay reach a manageable size.So that
means servival of the fittest and when theres about 300 left thats when
there seperated.Thats why a lot give dealer's away as freebies when you by
other T's.It's because thay just can't take care of so many slings properly.

Or spell Lasiodora properly...

Well I was one of those crazy ones who separated them at that size...Till I couldnt deal with it anymore, and send the rest of them together by hundreds, so the separating job was easier to do.

I sent Todd G. about 700-800, Ken the bug guy about 400..etc

 Wow, i'd go nuts as well trying to separate so many slings.

There's got to be some sort of underlying evolutionary trade-off with clutch and sling size between both Theraphosa and Lasiodora genera.

I have a egg case of a T.Blondi right now in a incubater.It came from a 9"
plus wild caught female T.B.There looks to be 100 plus pea sized eggs in the
egg case. You can already see there carapaces and legs forming inside the
eggs.Thay should be molt any day now to eggs with legs.I will post some
pictures of the T.B. eggs sac as soon as thay become eggs with legs.I would
bet you T.B's egg cases max out at about 150 eggs. This female was an
extremely large female and see laid about 120 eggs.I'll give you exact numbers
at a later date.
