This sounds like the lid is indeed woven wire mesh. Is that correct? You may have not personally seen it get stuck but it very likely could have.Found no proof of It getting hurt by the lid.

This type of lid I wanted to replace but ran out of money then it got too challenging to figure out how to replace it. Any tips ? You really seem to be loosing tarantulas at an alarming rate, and I don't believe that the sellers and breeders you buy from are to blame each and every time. You NEED to reexamine your husbandry carefully and make some major changes.Found unresponsive and placed its fangs in water dish most likely it’s a goner.
