I just got a Lasiodora parahybana sling .5 inch what should I feed her the guy I got her from said pre killed crickets would flightless fruit flies be fine?
This is not true. I have fed first instar L parahybana newly hatched crickets. They will hunt. No doubt about itWhen mine was that size it seemed to only scavenge..wouldnt hunt until about 1" 1.5"...i would crush the head on a small cricket and within 5 minutes it would drag it into its burrow

My1/2" sling, Lasiodora parahybana, was more of a scavenger as well. Didn't matter what size the prey item was...or what the prey item was...if it moved, the sling wouldn't touch it. For the longest time it would only eat pre-killed items, loved small pre-killed crickets mostly. When mine was that size it seemed to only scavenge..wouldnt hunt until about 1" 1.5"...i would crush the head on a small cricket and within 5 minutes it would drag it into its burrow
I have one a bit like that too! Had it since 1cm and now between 3-4cm. Is a good eater but not a natural born killer like my Nhandu chromatus or T. albopilosum slings. For a start, it will only feed every 7-10 days and fasted for 3 weeks before it last moulted. My temps are between 22-25c.Key word was "mine".....not talking about everyone else
