Sounds like it was a weak sling. I just had the same thing happen, I found of of my S. arndsti slings dead yesterday. Its kinda funny how bummed it made me. I was out of town all last weekend and was home very little during the week and didn't keep its substrate moist enough...perhaps. I'll never know why it died while my other two are going strong. Sometimes they just aren't meant to live.

Sucks man, I hope you have/get more because that is an amazingly beautiful species
Im hoping to get more but i would like a female lampropelma as my singapore just turned green. they are pricey and rare too :( just hoping to stumble upon a female that wont cost the earth. im sure the slightly too dry substrate in with your sling wouldnt have caused death in such a short space of time so dont blame yourself

Appreciate it ornamentalist, its tough to really say. Slings die, have to accept it as part of the game. Still though, makes you question. Last night, I dreamt of some of my big spiders dying, woke up in a crappy mood because of it

I'd be crushed if my juvie female Borneo black died. I only bought one because it was a pretty penny but lucked out with a female. Very very cool spider, very aggressive feeder (now) and gorgeous. Can't go wrong with any of the Lampros, they're all amazing spiders. If you can get a good deal on slings, sometimes really pays to buy in multiples.

Iv had allsorts of dreams about them dying, escaping an biting the dog and cat etc. i agree with the multiple sling buying, especially at shows where they are a great price. you did drop lucky with the borneo black! i should say so :D
