thats my reasoning, P muts are great but i like to see my spiders.
Set the tank up so you are able. I am on the hunt for a big female. I don't have the patience to wait years for my little one to mature. I set up a 20H tank and put a 5 gal upside down against one side in the center. I have the soil 12 inches deep. So on the sides and the front it's 4" wide and 12" deep. From the back I can see through the 5. I set my H gigas up that way the other day, waiting for the burrowing to begin. If it goes the way I hope, it will resemble one of those ant farms.

too much work for a brown spider. and i cant visualize how that works. lol my queen is tunneled against the side so i can see her with a torch when i want.
