For every beautiful Old World, there's a just as beautiful New World. Get yourself a NW firstIS IT GOOD AS A BEGINNER TARANTULA?
How does one access the bite report section? I got an error message when trying to open it.Take some time to read the bite reports section of this forum.
Is P. lugardi a Good Old World Beginner Tarantula?
Which question are you asking? Are you new to keeping tarantulas in general, or do you already have some experience with New World species and are looking to get into Old World species?IS IT GOOD AS A BEGINNER TARANTULA?
I think the lad literally just has a B. vagans, besides, I wouldn't even feel good recommending a Psalmo to a 15 yr old let alone any OWWhich question are you asking? If you are a novice keeper, I would not recommend Pterinochilus lugardi or any other Old World species.
Yeah sorry. My internet connection from the first thread was slow so i didnt know that it was created so i touched "post thread twice. SorryNo its old world, so its fast, defensive and has potent venom. Get yourself a Brachypelma or Grammastola species.
Also you created two same threads.
I have 3 tarantulasI think the lad literally just has a B. vagans, besides, I wouldn't even feel good recommending a Psalmo to a 15 yr old let alone any OW

Im bored with NW's. I have many NW's. And i will not handle my OW. Ill just use it for display etc.For every beautiful Old World, there's a just as beautiful New World. Get yourself a NW firstWhy does everyone always want to skip over NWs? Also, if your info is correct, I definitely would not recommend an OW to a fifteen year old. Their venom is potent. Nothing to mess around with. Take some time to read the bite reports section of this forum.
Is it good as a first OW tarantula i mean. Haha sorryWhich question are you asking? Are you new to keeping tarantulas in general, or do you already have some experience with New World species and are looking to get into Old World species?

I am 1 year in the hobbyIm bored with NW's. I have many NW's. And i will not handle my OW. Ill just use it for display etc.
Lasiodora parahybana,brachypelma smithi,grammostola pulchripes
Those species most likely are not going to give you nearly enough experience to deal with Old Worlds.Yes i have so many experience with new worlds
No wonder you're bored with NWs. You have three, generally chill NWs. That's not very many. If you're bored with those, why not try something that's not so much of a pet rock? Something a little bit more skittish, like N. incei, Nhandu chromatus, C. cyaneopubescens, etc.Im bored with NW's. I have many NW's. And i will not handle my OW. Ill just use it for display etc.
See @cold blood response from another thread about starter (fossorial) OW's... Different genus/species, but same idea for starting out with OW's and wanting a (fossorial) T for display,Ill just use it for display etc.
A display t is one that you can see. Just set up an empty aquarium, drill a hole in the sub and pretend you have one...cause that's what you see most of the time.
Great T's, but all starter NW's, why don't you try some others first, there are so many others that you now just skip because of the NW "flag/tag". There are enough NW's out there that make great display T's and also have different attitudes/temperament and behaviors. It's would be shame to just ignore themLasiodora parahybana, brachypelma smithi, grammostola pulchripes
