They're prefect to be handled, but wash your hand after! (to be sure that you don't have its defensive secretion on your hands and then put your hands over your eyes or in your mouth)
They are fine to handle but washing hands afterwards is a good idea. Also be warned they can stain your skin and soap doesn't really get it off. Gives ya a cool diseased look though.

They have a really good grip, it's hard to get them off of
your skin. I have 7 of them and the small ones love to be
out of their box. I really do not mess with the big ones
very much because I am trying to breed them.
