i'm thinking of getting a millipede, can you handle the giant africans?

they look really cool, and i want an invertebrate i can handle some. are they alright to pick up and what not?

They're prefect to be handled, but wash your hand after! (to be sure that you don't have its defensive secretion on your hands and then put your hands over your eyes or in your mouth)

if ya don't mind orange hands...

They are fine to handle but washing hands afterwards is a good idea. Also be warned they can stain your skin and soap doesn't really get it off. :) Gives ya a cool diseased look though.

I wear nitrile or latex gloves when I have to handle any of my millipedes.......

I handle my Millies.
They have a really good grip, it's hard to get them off of
your skin. I have 7 of them and the small ones love to be
out of their box. I really do not mess with the big ones
very much because I am trying to breed them.

sounds great, are they good climbers? i just want to know if i'll have to buy c clamps for the aquarium i put it in

I would make sure the tank is secure. The larger ones are
pretty strong.
