Maybe you should just accept that you can't have one, and wait a couple years until you move out? Part of growing up is realizing that you can't just keep pestering and pestering until you get what you want. Granted it sucks, but it's worth the wait - I had to wait years to get my first reptile for the same reason.

same here. I wanted a T since I was 10. My parents still don't like them, but now I'm 23, and do not live with them, so there's not much they can say. 13 years but it was worth waiting

This is the worst advice ever. All this will accomplish is getting the OP in serious trouble and getting the tarantula tossed out/resold/killed. Yeah, you sure showed her.
