I also realised i accidentally aquired an ant colony, living in the substrate of my nepenthes veitchii x burbidgea although nothing flashy, just some pheidole.

Yes actually, and exo skeletons of other creatures. They also use it to feed with a 50/50 chance of not falling in, so its like russian roullette but the prize is nectar and instead of being shot you drown in acid...
