Its Neoholothele now. I gave mine some substrate to burrow and some anchor points to web and it just made a web castle, didn't dig at all. Keep them on moist substrate.

I'm surprised, mines burrow and dig a lot.

Like what Greasylake said for care. For these dwarf T.'s, they need some space for webbing. So I gave mine a little bit more space than the average dwarf T.'s.
note: they grow extremely fast and are very quick. But they have some amazing colors and have good appetite.

Theraphosidae set up/s are very, very similar. That's why I always say that they are incredible easy animals to care (to care, because to 'deal' with is/may be another story).

What differs is/are the parameters (so, for instance, substrate moisture level etc) according to the species/original native area in question.

Now, for answer your question, for this species a set up like the classical 'GBB' one is perfect... inches of substrate more or less, more anchor points or less, doesn't matter :)

My Neoholothele incei is set up similar to a GBB (with an emphasis on anchor points), except I don't keep the substrate bone dry.

Mine has built elaborate web tunnels and does not use the hide or the substrate.

My N. incei gold is making use of it all. It has dug to the very bottom as well as constructed web tunnels and web all over the place. ;)

I might have to rehouse it after its next moult (it's in premoult now, I think, it's very secretive ). Definitely not something I'm looking forward to... those guys are lightning fast. :wideyed:

They're terrestrial heavy webbers and should be set up similar to a GBB.

I gave my female slightly more sub than I would for a GBB but she's never burrowed. I also don't bother with a traditional hide as she just webs it over, she seems to prefer a piece of bark leant against the side, the sub should be kept slightly moist.

My slings/juvies burrow and web, but my adult female gave up burrowing in favour of ALL THE WEB.

GRYM REAPER, WHAT IN THE SWEET F*&%#*&@#&#&@ CHRIST IS YOUR PROFILE PICTURE?!

Also, I figure that just some anchor points will be more than enough. I got the perfect item in mind!

I had plastic surgery to make myself too pretty to be approachable by anyone*

Honestly? Can you please get your old pic back? Or anything else really? That pic deeply disturbs me...

They kill each other - sometimes they just take longer to do so and then people have time to post about their wonderful communal before it is not so communal anymore.

Yeah, there have been several recent reports of failed communals with this species. Not worth the risk IMO.

The only people who claim they work communally are unscrupulous breeders who want to quickly shift their incei stock (why sell one for £6 when you can blag some noob to spend £30 on 5 of them).

I have never heard of a successful incei communal, same with Pokie communals, they all go tits-up eventually.

Better?

Just don't rule out it making a return at some point
