1=You sell a "Female".
2=The buyer believes you, and sell the T as female to a 3rd person.
3=That 3rd person sells the T prior the molt.
4= The current owner realises is a male, by molt.


Now tell me you will hear about it. PLEASE.

How many times this could have happened and you simply never heard about that tarantula.

The most likely scenario would be:

"Dude, the T is a male".
"Darn, it was send to me as female (By another person who wasnt you) "
A LOT OF TIMES that person will fix it without you even notice.

And you need to read carefully. I never said I was unnaware of those characteristics.Im talking about ventraly sex a tarantula VIA PICTURE, thats what you are missing.

A picture is an instant moment in time. Resembles 3d while not really existing.
In those conditions, you can have an amazingly huge amount of points you need to consider when talking about sexing something as small (and not that obvious) as a tarantula furrow.
The light that that picture shows, the shadows that the setae presents,the inclination , the exact position of the eye over a picture can drive you from right to wrong. Thats what im saying.

OMG who cares, were saying it is possible to guarantee sex of a tarantula by a photo. and it is to the right eye, not all but some. we have made all the points we can and i to am done here. i have bad eyes so i photograph my ts to sex them my self because i can see them better.

BUT its not constant, because it's not happening. Because I do sex them correctly. And I guarantee it.

So we dont know the amount of times that can have happened.So we cant acurately determinate your percentage of succes,such as 99% as you stated. (Im sure is high)

We would need to consider the amount of different sp,the actual sp,sizes...
Lots of things,besides, those kind of tests needs to be done and proven in many more T's to consider them valid.

I have a streak going with Robc right now, I have sexed 104 of his Ts correctly in a row via pictures on the internet. So with him its still 100% for now.
The 99% was my over all success rate online viewing and sexing pictures. I miss, its just not often.
