I always love when I Africa comes in, you never know what you'll get. these came in under "Fort Hall Baboons." Too bad I'll be selling most of them, maybe I'll keep a gravid female and see what happens?

Both species looks very similar to each other. H macs are my fave specie and I want an S calceatum just cause they look like a tan/red version of the H mac.

H.Maculata is high on my wish list & after seeing your pics It moved to #1 on my list:drool: . Do you know what sex it is & how big?

this is a female, the males are somewhat less attracting...dull greyish looking

Hmm...I would put her at around 4-5 inches (5 being a little liberal) full spread out. She's quite quick so getting good measurments is hard, though she can sit in the palm of my hand with a little overhang.

VERY nice looking H. mac. How long did it take her to get that big? I have a sling that is close to 1" right now.

Took her around a year to get that big for me at room temp eating about 3 times a week.

I always hear how shy these are around lights, yet she has never seemed to be bothered by them, just quick movements (which nothing likes).
