So what’s the consensus on dorasally sexing this species as a sling? And what is the optimal size to do so, I have a 2” sling that is in premolt right now and I’m guessing she’s female based on the patterns and coloration “she” has on her abdomen have any of you been correct by doing it this way with your slings?

I cannot help with your primary question. However, I do believe that question centers on dorsal (viewing from the upper side) rather than the converse, ventral.

Nope, they're pretty much brown until around 3"-3.5" where the females will start to lighten in colour.

Assuredly not an idiot (you keep T’s, and follow AB). I say this so I don’t feel bad the next time I engage my keyboard before my thoughts, as I do relatively regularly.
