She’s not moving and has white spots on her underside. Baby versicolor pink toe. I fed her mealworm because I got stuck out of town and she’s not moving, barely. Hanging on with 2 IMG_1499.jpeg feet still

Wait for what
It could be getting ready to molt. When a tarantula molts it flips over and its a waiting game for it to molt and grow bigger.

I don’t know about your T and your situation but it could be a reason why it got upside down and got still. And yes that would be normal for all Ts.

Otherwise it could have died, but it’s too early to say that at the moment. Pics of your setup would help, but the biggest recommendation I would give right now is wait because it could be getting ready to start molting.

Just leave it in its enclosure. There’s not much you can do so it’s best to let the spider be.The white spots are it’s lungs.

I just put her in a bigger container. I got her for Christmas. She had already built a huge web that surrounded her. She came out to eat. She hat three crickets the last time. Small ones. I had to give her a red meal worm. I put her into a bigger jar while I can try and get the proper things.
right now this is her enclosure

I guess I have never seen her flipped over

Thins is what she looks like. She was my Christmas present.

Did you move it after it was flipped over?

they are on their backs for two reasons: molt, or fall…

so, if you moved it when it was on its back without giving it a moment, it might have interrupted a molt.

there are no white spots as said previously. Those are are natural organ openings.

She was hanging on to the leaf by one leg. I flipped her over to look then put her in a curled up rose petal to maybe feel like a web while I have her in her lid.

Thank you all

i am trying to understand the succession of events.

i need your help.

you said you needed help because tarantula was on its back.

when was it on its back, and what did you do next?

i dont know if its my phone, but your enclosure looks too wet for the ventilation you have.

I just watered it. But she’s next to a heat vent here so it dries out quickly

I really want to help. But i am a bit worried.

frozen dirt?

i know youre trying your best here. I think you might have skipped steps like letting substrate dry out.

How do I make it better being a single mom with a 1000 a month income in Michigan?
One thing at a time. You can manage the tarantula. You just need to add dry sub.

if yu cant, id put nothing until the earth warms and drys a bit.

Dry substrate, much less substrate....not frozen substrate.....there should be no sticks or twigs, wood should be wide to provide stable footing....the top of that wood, which should extend all the way to the top, needs to be surrounded by plants, preferably plastic plants.....these provide anchor points for webbing and are critical for the t to create its web home.

I agree, it looks FAR too wet. It’s a deathtrap.

Check out @viper69 ’s avic guide and set up your enclosure based on that. This is the best guide out there to look after Avics/C versicolor. If your T is still alive, following this advice and setting this up asap could save it.

With my own place paying everything alone? My friend brought it over and said merry Christmas. I don’t know anything about her we have been living peacefully with my other animals and she’s been just fine.
