NO! It could run up the tweezers, but it is far more likely you could hurt it with them! To handle an OW T I'd use the delicup method. You CAN, however, use the tweezers for cage maitenance. Removing soiled substrate, food boluses, the water bowl, etc.

I get a spoon and bend it so I can easily get boluses out without messing up too much webing. You could also try isopods to keep the cleaning you have to do to a minumum

Isopod=pillbug, rolly polly, sowbug, etc. They require LOTs of moisture, or at least a moist place. That's why you typcially find them underneath things on moist soil.

How big is your enclosure? Give it more substrate that's not enough.

And please don't compare spiders to snakes...

All good no worries ;)

Enclosure size is good for now, but at 1" you should give it both height and at least 6" of substrate and let the spider decide on the housing.

Good luck with the T and watch your fingers;)

Now are you saying that the bite from the snake ALONE could kill you? Or are you saying that the bite along with the constricting of the snake could kill you? What kind of snake is it again? I thought you said a Python. Last I checked, those don't have venom at all. Which would make an OBT's bite MUCH MUCH worse!

Having spoken with someone who owned a much smaller snake, I think the issue arising is from the TEETH. Nothing to do with venom, everything to do with trying to get it to let go.

Hence why a spider bite is much worse due to venom alone, and also yet another reason that no one should compare Snake Bites to Tarantula Bites! Unless of course comparison of venom is being discussed that is.

Honestly my first Arboreal was an Avicularia avicularia, and what I found most helpful if you're looking to eventually get an P. murinus was first getting my P. Irminia. She's very fast, and not quite the teleporter the OBTs I have are, but I must admit jumping from my Avic to the OBT wouldn't have been a good idea without experience gained through my P. Irminia.

i said i was wrong about a snake bite being worse than a spider bite and i said i am sorry for making a statement i new nothing about!
then i said that the snake could kill you though through constrition not its bite. i would rather get bit by the snake now i know what the OBT bite will do. snakes wont try and kill you unless its food and will only bite in defence.

sorry for the mix up
