hello everyone im new to tarantulas i have had a rose hair before but nothing other than that. i am really wanting a Pterinochilus murinus but would like to see what everyone thinks first
mostly i dont want a rose hair or a mex red knee etc. cause to me they are a little boring no offence its just not what im looking for i like the fast Ts that make interesting webbing like Arboreal Ts or semi arboreal.Okay. What do you WANT in your next spider?
thank you for your help ill check that out im not too worried about the venom not looking to get a T to handle at all mostly a sick ass display in my house!IMO, Get a C.cyaneopubescens. Great coloration, lightning fast on prey, LOTS of webbing, less potent venom than P.murinus and though they are also skittish and somewhat defensive, it's way less than an OBT
They are way more impressive to look at than OBT's IMO...Check out the pics in my thread if you want you'll see 3 stages. And when talking about venom, if you don't plan on handling it thats great but when people start off in the hobby, they make mistakes and with fast spiders like the ones mentionned here, your error margin is thinner. If by accident you get tagged, you'll hve a bit of an easier time with a GBB.thank you for your help ill check that out im not too worried about the venom not looking to get a T to handle at all mostly a sick ass display in my house!
I'm going with Synyster on this one 100%. The difference between a GBB and an OBT is UNREAL to say the least!!! If you're looking for lots of webbing with great colors, then I couldn't recommend a GBB enough! Plus they are hardy too and never turn down food. When they hit, they hit like a mack truck!!! Watch this video. It has everything you'll need to know about this spider...They are way more impressive to look at than OBT's IMO...Check out the pics in my thread if you want you'll see 3 stages. In my opinion I think you would be happy with an A. versicolor! Try to get one a little older if you can though. They can be a bit hard to care for sometimes as slings. But they are beautiful! I included a picture that I found online for you.ok thank you where is a list of arboreal i could find online to help me out with picking one out?
I am so sorry Synyster. I hope everything goes alright for him/her.See what my previous post meant was, right now I was looking at my spiders that I fed previously today. One of my Avic slings was feeding around 1 hour ago. Now I just found it dead. Avic slings just tend to die if their not perfectly kept. And even when conditions are optimal, they still just tend to die sometimes. For a beginner, I don't recommend a sling and I also don't recommend WC. But it's your choice from here... Now i'll go get rid of that dead sling...
Edit: well it seems that it's in a full death curl but still alive so I just put it in an ICU and we'll see how that goes...
I'll see in the morning but it's not looking good. I pretty much think it's already dead. I'll post on it in a new thread.I am so sorry Synyster. I hope everything goes alright for him/her.
from what you have said maybe a pokie? P.regalis....shy spider but will fight if provoked. i own one and she is my favorite Tthank you for your help ill check that out im not too worried about the venom not looking to get a T to handle at all mostly a sick ass display in my house!
They also have a medically significant bite. I'd recommend something else as a first.from what you have said maybe a pokie? P.regalis....shy spider but will fight if provoked. i own one and she is my favorite T
