First of all just relax, and the most important part is not to disturb it. You should read the threads about T's that molt without a problem, they are much more numerous.
After it's done, just let it harden, I would say leave the molt 24 hours or so just to be sure you won't disturb it, other than that just sit back and enjoy, first molt only happens once, be glad you get the chance to witness it.:)

Yes, calm down.
I went through my first molt a few weeks ago and I was pacing back and forth like an expecting father, hehehe.

My B. smithi molted with no problem and I ate so much while waiting because I was soo nervous.
Just think it's not the first time your sling has molted and it know what it's doing. Just watch and don't disturb it.

Let us know when it's done :D

No worries if it didn't flip back on it's legs it's all good, and once the molting process has begun, it will not get any faster, but at that size in a half an hour it should be done. Congratulations!

My 1" B. smithi took about 4 hours to finish molting.
My 1" G. pulchra took about 8 hours from when it went on its back.
My 1" B. boehmei took about 1 hour.

Give it time, it'll molt when ready :)

I have my fingers crossed for your T. :)
It'll be fine, you'll see.

I wish I was there so I could bring you some tea, and just wait it out with you.
It's a nerve wracking process for us since there is not much we can do :p

In the meantime try to get your mind off of it.
I knitted a scarf waiting for one of the molts, checking every 10 minutes, lol.

no more estimating for me. :liar: :liar:
Sorry if it scared you, all of my T's at that size have molted much more quickly, but I don't have a GBB, so it was stupid of me to take a guess, sorry again.

Wooohoooo!!!! {D
I'm so glad. I checked the board last night hoping to hear of her successful molt.

I didn't remove the molt for a day, and after 2 days on another T that was really close to it.
I would mist today since she will be thirsty. For my slings I gave them a water dish. You know the plastic thing that is in the cartons of milk to prevent the milk from spilling? I used that as it is a tiny water dish and there is no danger of them drowning in it. But mine are terrestrial, for yours maybe try misting the web? That's my guess, but let's see what the other GBB owners say :)

Congrats on your molt hun :D
